I meant to post this before I left for my "vacation" but I didn't find the time to do it. Just want to let my followers know that I am back and can't wait to make more cards and stuff. I got a great deal on airfare and had to take the time to go visit my family in Vermont and New Hampshire. It was a great trip! I went back to where I grew up and it is just beautiful in the New England area. The leaves are turning just this week and it will be even more pretty next week. Man, I miss it...
I will be posting some new creations soon. Like I said, I can't wait to get back to my creative arts.

Witchy Halloween
Halloween is coming up soon. I can't believe that September is half over already! October 31st will be here and gone before you know it and then....oh, I don't even want to think about the Holidays yet! I'm already thinking I have too much to do. Well, on to my card.
I pulled out my Halloween papers that I can't seem to use up and put them together with this image from Stampin' Up's set Out on a Limb. I haven't used it much so I thought it was time...I just wish I was better at coloring. I am learning but it is that time factor of not having enough to just concentrate on learning "how to."
I am trying to keep my cards with minimal embellishments so I can send them through the mail without a large postal fee. I kinda messed up on this card because I had to make a 5x5 inch to fit that large circle image on it. I like how it turned out though.
I am entering this card in the following blog challenges:
Sweet Sunday Sketch #167
Make It Monday #107-Anything Goes
Tammy's Scrapin Corner #28-Anything Goes
Simply Create Too #22-Anything Goes

It's a Birthday card...
Hi again, I am back from a week of no creativity. I was very busy with school starting and all. I don't have any children in school but my husbands' work hours changed and I started working with a Webelos den as the Cub Scout leader, and all because of school starting. It was just a busier week and I had to adjust...
So, I made this card for the Retrosketch challenge #28, and Twisted Tuesdays challenge: Make something with the one you love in mind and the Twist is to use lots of color.
I made this card with my son in mind, his birthday is on the 25th and he'll be 20 years old! I won't have any more teenagers ever again! I don't know whether to be sad or happy????
Here is the recipe:
Stamps: Word Play, SU
Inks: black
Paper: Designer paper which has these colors-Celery, regal rose, tempting turquoise, perfect plum, and turquoise for the base
Accessories: Star punches, SU, grosgrain ribbon in turquoise, corner punch

Love is in the Air
I made this page for the challenge on the Our Creative Corner blog. The challenge is to use office supplies and the twist is to use a lot of red. Well, as you can see I've used a lot of red. As for the office supplies I used two paper clips, some scotch tape, and a little clip which is holding a piece of notebook paper. I also have a trio of brads and buttons. I am not sure if buttons count as office supplies but I know they are for sure used as embellishments!
Here is a close up of most of the supplies used.
I am entering this in the following challenges:

A Small Scrapbook page layout
Okay, I made this layout because I wanted to do something different. I got the idea from several challenges (don't ya just love 'em, for inspiration?). It is a 6x6 scrapbook page. I have an idea for the picture I just don't have a lot of time to find it right now. I will add it later, promise.
This picture below is a close up of the items I used that are "forgotten embellishments." I love the challenges because they are forcing me to use my stuff!!!
Layout with picture:
I just had to add the extra butterfly to balance it out. It also gives a nice line to follow all the way around the page.
I am entering my project in the following challenges:
Belli's Blog #150 -Winged Things
Twisted Tuesdays #19 -Use Predominant Blue; the Twist-use only one other color (which I did manage to do.)
Divas by Design #48-Sketch
I used the following materials:
Stamps: none
Ink: none
Paper: DSP bashful blue, base-bashful blue, white, marina mist
Accessories: metal accents-SU, butterfly sizzix die, spellbinders dies, SU embossing folder-fancy fan, cuttlebug embossing folder-swirls

Back to School .....
It's back to school season again! All my children have graduated so I don't have to worry about this anymore! I am so glad....No more searching for "the right tennis shoes, the right shirts, the right pants," I'm so glad it's over....
I made this card though because I purchased this digital image from Digi Stamps. I am wanting to try my hand at coloring images because I see so many beautiful ones on blogs, and cards, etc. So, this is one of my first "coloring" jobs. I also made the green strips crooked on purpose...
I am entering this card in the Color Q challenge. We had to use the following colors:
I am also entering my card in several other challenges which I am listing below. Thanks for visiting my blog and I appreciate any comments!

Purple, Blue, Green and a Sketch
Hello everyone, I have been busy surfing the blog challenges and I found the one for this color challenge: CR84FN60
The colors in the picture below pull you right in, aren't they beautiful?! I am so into bright colors right now, I couldn't resist...So this card I made is for this challenge, CR84FN60, and for a sketch challenge which is pictured below, from Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges #88 -Sketch. I didn't post in time for Penny's challenge so I am entering two other challenges below.
We were supposed to use a grape, blue, and green for our main colors. I used Pacific Point, Concord Crush, and Gumball Green from Stampin' Up! I used the gumball green on the background stamp and onto the white glossy paper. I think the glossy paper gives the image more "umph." I also like the way the image seems to continue into the designer paper border. I could have used a solid, but since I was already using the blue solid and grape solid, I decided to add some extra texture instead.
This is the sketch from Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges, #88.
I'd also like to enter the following challenges:
Here is the recipe:
Stamps: SU Clearly for You, Rubbernecker Victorian toile background
Inks: pacific point, concord grape, gumball green
Papers: pacific point, concord grape, gumball green, white glossy, DSP pack
Accessories: rhinestones, copper embossing powder, SU punches
Thanks for visiting, and I would love to hear what you think about my creation! I always appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Flowers and a Butterfly
I made this card with the Color Throwdown Challenge colors:
I love these colors! I hope you like the card. I also used a sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, which I didn't make in time, aw! I'll try again for the next one. I wasn't sure when it was closing since this was my first time joining the challenges. I love sketches...
I started with a vanilla base and dry embossed a piece to lay over that. I used basic gray to frame another piece of dry embossed vanilla for the base of the embellishments. The horizontal strips are poppy parade, pumpkin pie, and basic gray. The flower was made using an SU die-Daisies, which I love! I placed a pumpkin pie button in the center, added a stamped and punched butterfly and that's it! The Stamp set is Stampin' Up! Papillon Potpourri and the SU punch goes with it.
I would also like to enter this in the Make It Monday 102 challenge

Blue and Bling
I had fun with this one. I still find it hard to add a lot of embellishments. It makes it hard to use up my stuff! This card is made on white textured cardstock with pacific point and marina mist paper. I made some paper flowers as you can see.
I tried to add more pearls but it just didn't look right so I left it as is. The white card sits on the piece of pacific point background paper to make it more sturdy. It measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Close-up of flowers.
I am entering this card in the Just Add Ink #130 Challenge and the Stampin' Royalty #136 challenge. Thanks for looking and please leave a comment.
