Stampin' Royalty #129 Color Challenge

I used the colors found in this picture, which are the challenge colors:

This one was a bit difficult for me. I had the balloon idea but as you can see I did not use much of the Old Olive color. If I had used flowers it would have been easier but I decided not to use flowers this time. I wanted to do something different. I thought of this set and went with balloons instead.  I used a swirly embossing folder for the background to imitate wind. I cut out the balloon tails and popped them off the page along with one of the balloons. I tried to put in some cloud images but made a poor choice putting it behind the mustard balloon. I did use the olive behind the greeting and used the olive ink on the greeting thus using all the colors in the challenge.

I like to see the dimensions of a card when it has one so here is a side view. Again, thanks for looking!

Color Throwdown #197-I didn't get it posted in time!

Color Throwdown #197.
Well, here is my card for the Color Throwdown challenge #197. I got it done but I didn't get it posted in time. I was busy doing other things....my, how time flies. I guess I have learned a lesson here...don't wait until the last minute!

I used the colors posted on the site for this challenge which were the following:

I didn't like the combo at first glance but when I started working with the colors I changed my mind.

Here is a close up of my paper flowers. I love making these! They are pretty and pretty easy to make.
I hope you like, thanks for looking!

Paper and Such Design Blog Challenge-Our Feathered Friends

Our Feathered Friends...

This is the card I made for the Paper and Such Design Blog Challenge.  We were to make a card with a bird image. My first picture above was taken with my camera without a flash. The colors are better represented on that one. The picture below was taken with a flash so you could see the glitter that I used on the bird image and around the border. I am trying to incorporate more "bling" affects into my cards because I think cards are very pretty with it, especially glitter. (Actually anything that glitters is pretty awesome!)

Thanks for looking!

Color Throwdown Challenge #196

Here is my card for the Color Throwdown challenge #196 this week. These are the colors we were supposed to use.

I actually used all of the colors but in a very minimal way as you can see. I embossed the flowers here with vanilla embossing powder, used the blue on the ribbon, and the saffron for framing the greeting behind a vanilla paper. And I love the crumb cake paper, it is perfect for so many different types and styles of cards. This is another picture below, of the card from a different angle. Thanks for looking!

Mickey and Minnie Mouse

Here are some cards that I made at a class at Dawn Olchefske's place. I thought they were very clever. This is Mickey and below is Minnie.

Accessories: Circle punches: 1 3/4", 1", small circle and small heart punch, glue dot, stampin' dimensionals

I think these will do quite well for my grandkids birthdays or just a thinking of you card to change it up. They will love them!

Color Throwdown #195

This is my entry for the Color Throwdown challenge #195.
I used a set from Stampin' Up! and I think it is called "Tea for Two."
I used barely banana yellow, groovy guava for the peach, pink pirouette, and an aqua blue for the base of the card.  The ribbons are both pink. The cup is also embossed and so is the white background.
